ROGÉRIO FERNANDES



Brazilian artist from Piauí based in Minas Gerais. He is a designer and worked as art director in advertising agencies. After this period, art became his great passion and Rogério began to dedicate himself entirely to it. His style is influenced by Brazilian northeastern xylography with touches of fantastic realism. He establishes connections and dialogues about the history of world art and its icons, combining contemporary art with characters from popular imagery. He achieved national and international visibility as a muralist, set designer, sculptor and painter. In the first Vulica in 2014, he created the mural "The love of Frida and Van Gogh" and participated in the exhibition at the Center for Contemporary Art in Minsk.
