TOYS

Updated: Dec 22, 2025

From Brasília to the world, the art of Daniel Toys transforms color into connection.
Born in 1991, Toys discovered his passion for drawing and creating characters early in life. At 13, inspired by skate and graffiti magazines, he painted his first mural in the Guará neighborhood of Brasília — marking the beginning of a career defined by creativity and bold expression. With a basketball scholarship, he earned a degree in Advertising from the Catholic University of Brasília. His experience in advertising agencies expanded his understanding of communication and strengthened his artistic identity.

It was in the streets that he found his true voice, with the emergence of his character ToysZim — a colorful, expressive icon that became his signature. His art, marked by geometric lines, vivid palettes, and rich textures, moves fluidly between murals, paintings, clothing, jewelry, and objects. His influences span graffiti, contemporary art, pop art, digital illustration, and Brazilian folk art — especially Northeastern crafts and mamulengo puppet traditions..

Today, Toys is one of Brasília’s most recognized muralists, with works across Brazil and in countries such as Germany, Argentina, Chile, Spain, France, Portugal, Peru, the United Kingdom, and Austria. He believes that “everything begins with a dream”, and through love and color he seeks to transform the world, connect people, inspire new stories, and rekindle forgotten dreams. In a more mature phase of his career, Toys approaches his work with depth and intention, using technique as a tool to express what comes from the soul — embedding meaning into every line, every color, every message.

In 2025, Toys took part in the 6th edition of the Vulica Brasil festival in Brasília, creating the mural “Toys and the Stairs of Dreams” on the façade of the iconic Teatro Dulcina in the Conic neighborhood.
