Marcus Vinícius, known as Enivo, was born in 1986 in the Grajaú district of São Paulo. At the age of twelve, he had his first encounter with a spray can and began creating graffiti on the city’s streets. Over the years, his more than 20,000 interventions — woven into the fabric of urban life — have appeared not only throughout São Paulo but across the globe. Enivo’s recent works move between Afrofuturist currents, blending performative impulses with his Afro-Brazilian roots, while also celebrating the contributions of Indigenous peoples to Brazilian culture. Alongside these threads, the artist incorporates everyday elements and symbols of a digitalized, globalized society.
A cultural activist with a deep commitment to social transformation, Enivo was drawn to São Paulo’s vibrant artistic scene and eager for greater knowledge. He studied Fine Arts at Faculdade Paulista de Artes, and after graduating in 2006, continued his graffiti practice while working as an educator, bringing art to young people in marginalized and favela communities. Since 2004, he has led workshops and courses on graffiti, street art, and career development for emerging artists. In more than 25 years of work, Enivo has participated in 40 exhibitions in Brazil and abroad. As co-founder and curator of Galeria A7MA in Vila Madalena, he plays a key role in supporting artists seeking to enter the professional art market. Through his work with A7MA, Enivo has spent 12 years fostering the training and inclusion of Black and peripheral youth in the arts, and has curated more than 70 exhibitions.
In 2025, Enivo took part in the 6th edition of the Vulica Brasil festival in Brasília, creating the mural “Trail” on the Venâncio III building in the Conic neighborhood, bringing forward themes of hip-hop and the rise of black communities.
